PRO4m Parameters

To edit PRO4m parameters open the PRO4m Parameters window from the PRO4m main menu, or open the <PRO4mLocation>\PRO4m.cfg file in any text editor (notepad.exe for example).

** Double-click on image to enlarge, click once to minimize again.

Choose a parameter to modify and click the "Update" button. Click OK to save changes and exit or Cancel to undo the changes.

PRO4m Parameters description
PRO4mLocation PRO4m installation directory name. Default - C:\Program Files\PRO4m
ProjectLocation PRO4m projects location directory name. Default - C:\PRO4m\Projects
HtmlBrowser Overwrites the default Windows HTML browser. Parameter is commented out by default.
diffProcedure Default "diff" procedure, which is used for all PRO4m project changes history keeping.

ControlsFile PRO4m controls file name. Default - controls.dat
NewReleaseCheck Automatic check for a new PRO4m release (YES/NO)
DescComments program description line prefix. Default - *# Use this to specify the program module description. Every line within comments starting from *# will be identified by PRO4m as a program module description line and included into the PRO4m reports. Useful for the source-code documenting automation.
DocsComments documentation comments line prefix. Similar to the previous parameter, but specifies the particular commentaries.
ProlintAvailable YEN/NO values - YES means that Prolint is available on your computer and may be used by PRO4m
ProlintHomeDir Prolint home directory name
ProparseHomeDir Proparse home directory name
ProlintRulesLoc Prolint Rules descriptions home directory name
License Confirmation ID generated for you by the PRO4m Registration page
AutoStartList Comma-separated list of parameter pairs: the projects name and the AutoStart time. Used by the AutoStart scheduler for the automatic project parsing and report generating procedures scheduling.

Tips and Tricks
  • Preferably use the "PRO4m Parameters" update module rather than modify the PRO4m.cfg by a text editor. Some parameters are stored in the Windows Registry and required to be synchronized with PRO4m.cfg file values;
